Hey friends!
It’s been a minute, huh? I logged onto social media this week for the first time during my fast to post the ticket link to my upcoming show and I MISS EVERYONE SO MUCH. But also, this has been a really good pruning season for me and my life….and I know it’s something I have to stay obedient to no matter how hard it is at times.
I was going to sit and write tonight, and I may, but I think I’ll wait on shooting that post out for another time. I need to think more on it before I give you a finished piece. It’s been a hot minute since I have sat down to write anything and well, it’s a little nerve wracking going back into it.
I did, however, want to give you all an update on life and all of the fun things I have been doing but haven’t “shared” since being off socials.
First and foremost, YA GIRL IS BACK ON STAGE and having the time of my life. I am playing Rapunzel in Audience of One’s production of “Into The Woods” at the Capitol Theatre in Lebanon, TN at the end of October. It is my first play in over 15 years and I am smitten. I am writing a whole thing on it and all that I am learning but for now, know that I would REALLY LOVE IT if you came to watch. You can get your tickets here! We run for one weekend only and tickets are selling quickly so snatch them while you can!

Secondly, a few months ago I appeared on the What If? Video Podcast with Ashley McClain and we took a deep dive into anxiety. I appeared with one of my sweet longtime friends and former teacher, Erica Pearson, who is also the author of the blog “A Stirred Heart”. Together we took a hard, honest look into the struggle with anxiety and depression, especially within the Christian community. You can view that episode here

Also, a few weeks ago, I had the HONOR AND PLEASURE (please know this was written in my best Blanch Devereaux accent) of appearing (again!) on the Chosen Girl Podcast with my dear friend and kindred spirit Sarah Collins. We talked about pruning seasons, relationships, friendships and show tunes (LOL, because truly what else is more important?). I have had several people reach out and note how much they related with the topics we discussed on this episode and I hope if you take time to listen, it resonates with you too! You can find that content here along with all of the new goodies Chosen Girl has to offer this season.

Additionally, my Accreta Experience Article (and original blog post) “All of the things I Wish I Could Say: Dear Healthcare Team” was re-shared and featured in this month’s “Connected” newsletter through the National Accreta Foundation. I am so grateful for the community and resources that the National Accreta Foundation provides mothers and families experiencing accreta. If you haven’t had a chance to read it yet, please do and share with a healthcare worker you love!
The boys are happy, healthy and back in the swing of things at Mother’s Day Out and I am late every single day, per usual. I have tried to be faithful in my fast and have failed miserably some days but I am determined to be obedient in this as I have seen such fruit come from it. Life has not been “simple” in response to my social media “break up”. Instead, it has been total chaos at times with both an abundance of good-and not so good-circumstances popping up each and every day, but I still know it’s the right thing. I am walking in my calling back in the arts and dreaming up new ideas for this space so that’s a plus, right? Anyway, just missing you guys and wanted to fill you in on the sweet opportunities in my world these days. All in all, still just really glad to be here.
XO,
B
